Kenton O’Donnell. If this 11 year old can speak up against Gangsters, why can’t you?

Kenton O'Donnell

Kenton O’Donnell, a concerned and frightened 11 year old boy from Abbotsford, British Columbia recently voiced his concern over the escalating gang violence and the infamous Bacon Brothers, who happen to reside in Kenton’s own neighbourhood.

In Kenton’s speech to his schoolmates at Clayburn Middle School, he asked,”Imagine if the shootings were at my house at the time I was walking home. I might have been shot or injured.”

11 year old boys should be playing road hockey, video games, playing catch in the backyard, having friends over for sleepovers and other footloose and fancy-free activities. According to Kenton, these Abbotsford gangsters the Bacon Brothers have made many childhood pursuits impossible and unsafe.

Other parents won’t allow their kids over to play unless they stay inside. Who can blame them when the Bacons have been shot at repeatedly? He said that it isn’t even safe to bounce around on the trampoline in his own backyard!

Even with numerous video cameras recording every move in the neighborhood and a constant Police presence, Kenton still has to hurry past the Bacon family home and has to stay alert for strange cars that might be other gangsters trying to kill the Bacons.

Talk about loss of innocence. When most children have happy childhood memories, this young man will have not-so-fond memories of gangsters, police cars, video cameras watching every move and potential bad guys around every corner.

Sounds like Compton, California or East Los Angeles doesn’t it?

Nope. Abbotsford BC.

Again we ask…WHY is an 11 year old speaking up? Where are the parents and relatives and neighbours of these gangsters? Why aren’t they calling the Police? Why aren’t they emailing us to help stop this madness.

Our first thought when we heard about Kenton O’Donnell’s speech about Abbotsford Gangsters the Bacon Brothers was that we feared something would happen to him. We know the Bacons aren’t the brightest bulbs in the box but we hope they have enough sense to not hurt him.

Mind you, would something as horrible as that be what it takes to finally get people to do something about the gang violence in Vancouver? Probably not. Isn’t that a tragedy in itself?  An 11 year old boy risks everything to voice his opinion when hundreds of others are holding vital information that they refuse to tell anyone?

It’s shameful.

Great job Kenton. We, the general public that actually try and do something about these gangsters applaud you. You are a credit to your family and should be praised.

To everyone else that knows a gangster, is related to a gangster, is dating a gangster or is sleeping with a gangster so they can have that new Coach purse, you should be so privilege to even breathe the same air as this brave boy. The fact that you haven’t told anyone about what you know is disgusting and pitiful.

If YOU want to make a difference and want to help stop this madness, comment on this Kenton O’Donnell story or send us an email about what you know. Your identity is safe if you use an anonymous email like Hotmail.

Clear your conscience and help save countless lives. Now, before another life is lost!

    • Isabella says:

It was a year ago and I was bored so I typed in his name and I read how amazing he seemed. I go to school with him , and he’s a decent guy.He gets good grades,he’s so sweet and super hot. But if you get the chance to go out with him……don’t.I know this has nothing to do with the article. I’m sounding like a bitch, but I’m just letting it out. But ya if he’s so amazing, how come he didn’t win??

  3. Bigup says:

Sounds like a bitch but stands up like a MAN.

Too many gangsters sound like a man but cry like a bitch behind closed doors.

  4. pp says:

you sound like a bitch and all you other guys are rat goofs, Bigup ur a goof you dont know a god damn thing about gangsters and ur probably scared of them in real life and just talk shit on a computer because thats all you really could do, if you hate gangsters i understand but do something about and by that i dont mean phone the men in blue like the rat that you are

  5. Tom Jones says:

Ratting out a rat is not being a rat. Being a rat is selling crack and hiding behind a gun. That is a rat. Reporting criminals is a civic duty. It’s like taking out the trash.

  6. C says:

PP: you are the bitch and every pussy gang banger for that matter. I served in the infantry in the CF for a good number of years and I welcome the opportunity to do something about it. You people are scum.

  7. woooow says:

snitches get stitches and all that shit is just so higher ups don’t get ratted out; even Frank Lucas informed and got out of prison in only a couple years. Is it justice if you can eliminate your consequence by tattle taleing? hell no.

btw i’ve read a couple stories in a row where vancouver police bust people that supposedly called 911 but there’s no emergency when they get there just a bunch of drugs or guns-does that look like what I think? i don’t really care i just wonder

  8. The Man says:

Wow a lot of ppl are against and with this guy on this subject and i am for him he is only in grade six and probably didnt really want the attention for it being about the bacons, he wanted it to be in the paper because of how well it was written and how much he accomplished writing it, he didnt want it for this reason, just let them be. But gansters are a big part of crimes so i think thats why he chose it, because it would be fun to learn about whats going on in his own community.
